Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei told reporters in his weekly press conference on Sunday that Plasco case was open in the court; “so far, 2 have been detained on the case charged with neglect in handling property,” he told the press.
“A committee including different authorities watches over the case; the committee will prepare a report on the possibilities which could have alleviate the amount of damage; no government official has been implicated,” Ejei told the press.
Still in a different issue of extension of temporary leave from prison by Mahdi Hashemi, Deputy-Judiciary head believed that the extension had been complying the laws of the prisoners; “the judge saw it expedient to extend his temporary leave from prison; the extension is usually practiced for emergent cases and cases with 2 months of extension have also been common for convicts of financial crimes,” he added.
Plasco, an old building in central Tehran, collapsed after burning for about four hours despite the efforts of firefighters to quench the fire.
